How much is it worth ?
How much is 98 Boxter worth which has 192k plus miles, runs and looks good. One rear mesh missing, some wear showing on red leather seats, back window needs replacement, electric top works, tires good, some road dings. daily driver 100 miles a day to work and back. White exterior shiny. Thank you for any feed back!!

There's a 01 Boxter S in J-ville for $9800 with 60k miles if I remember correctly. I've also seen a 99 for $7900. With 198k miles, I'd offer 4 or 5k and see what they say.

How much is a Boxster with almost 200K miles worth? Being that it is a donut shy of needing an engine rebuild, has plenty of needed fixes, etc., its a few thousand dollar car. When the engine goes tits up, it will then become a money pit.

Used-Boxster prices have taken a real hit since the intermediate-shaft problems with the M96 engine have become so well-known. An IMS failure almost always trashes the whole engine; big piece in Excellence a couple of months ago. Some estimates I've seen are that fully 20 percent of all Boxsters suffer IMS failures. I'm waiting for ours to go...it can happen anytime, low time is no guarantee, neither is high time.
