Source for acid core solder for deck height measurement
 
I was wondering if anyone has a source for acid core solder to use to measure deck height in a 911 engine rebuild. I've only been able to find 1.6mm diameter solder. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just following directions. CE and Wayne talk about acid core solder nearly 3mm thick. I checked a big plumbing supply store today and all they had was solid solder. Any other ideas? Thanks.

why not use molding clay? Most hobby stores have it.

I can't put my hand on mine right now. I think I have some rosin core in the shop I could sent you a couple of inches if you need.
