Post alternator shroud

I have the fan off but how do I pull the fan shroud off of the alternator? thanks in advance to all you gurus out there.

me again it seems like its all one piece hammering did no good. looks like there almost fused together

well I thought why do I care about this dead alt since I did buy a new one so with my trusty hammer I was able to hammer it out. thanks though

Since you already got it out you don't need this. Maybe for next time. I just removed my fan housing and alternator. I pressed the alternator out by putting some wooden blocks under the housing and blocks on the studs sticking up. Then I used a small hydraulic jack against the hitch on my SUV. Worked just like a press in the shop. You could probably even figure out how to use a floor jack against something the right height.
