I would have gladly donated a couple of the extras for the cause :D However, there is still only the one. Could be worse though. Shane, I ordered a bit of stuff for the domination up here in Canada. Can you please let me know if I owe more for shipping, as there was no other option other than just pay up via paypal. Thanks.

I'll be the covert agent for the SCWDP. See, my car can get into their Super Secret Carrera Meetings...
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1233777071.jpg

No foglights in front to give it's SC heritage away...big ugly goofy tail, no rear badging...

My beast can get deep into the ranks of this "Carrera" group, before wiping them all away from the inside.

Just so long as it's not running...the smog-exempt SSIs and dual exhaust and advanced timing and burbling engine would give it away in a second among those meek, quiet, boring stock 3.2L pansies..."oh, I got a chip! Oh, I buy my hop-up parts on E-bay!"

carolinatrophy 02-04-2009 11:00 AM

Your feeble attempts at subterfuge have already been uncovered, SC-driver! But even if we weren't keeping tabs on your communications, the guards at our secret command bunker would have sniffed out your wimpy brakes and failure-prone chain tensioners in a second. A SECOND!

A noble effort, SC-driver. But ultimately, a failed one.

Hmmm...a second is all my SC needs to get past your slow, heavy, fat, movie-star drivin' Carreras ;)

I'd like to take a moment to dispel this myth. Like many people, you assume we Carrera drivers are all movie stars. It's simply not true. Sure, we APPEAR to be movie stars because of the amazing cars we drive, but the reality is that not all of us are.

So remember - just because our cars are far superior, we put our pants on one leg at a time, just like you SC drivers.

stormmaster 02-04-2009 11:48 AM

I dress like a fireman....I jump it both legs at once.....sometimes i even do it while doing a backflip off a trampoiline....oh wait...that was a guy on a commercial....wasn't me....guess Im still not a movie star. But I AM a Carrera owner and proud. And try as you might....an SC guy can never truthfully make that comment.

Rick V 02-04-2009 01:11 PM

yeah yeah yeah, I hear tell you Cerrera guys just walk up and stick it in, well us SC guys stick it in then walk up. :)

stormmaster 02-04-2009 01:32 PM

you must be describing your last experience driving your car....was it a long walk after the break down?

Pazuzu 02-04-2009 01:39 PM

This whole thing is getting personal, and kinda mean. I suggest we stop.

Not to mention, the Carrera people forgot to arm themselves for this battle of wits ;)

carolinatrophy 02-04-2009 01:56 PM

One of our astute and vigilant members has informed me that you now have your own television show. It appears you are taking it up a notch!

Well played, SC-drivers. Well played, indeed...

...nor would an SC owner see the point of making that comment. You know deep down that you want to be a light weight early 911 anyways. An SC is one step closer to that than a Carrera.

stormmaster 02-04-2009 02:46 PM

I had an early light weight 911....a very nice one in fact.....I have no desire to make my Carrera into a light weight.

Ah, I get it. So you really wanted a luxury barge water pumper but couldn't afford one. But the carrera was a few steps closer...

stormmaster 02-04-2009 03:49 PM

Nope....I always wanted a real Carrera....so I got one.

SCWDP911 02-04-2009 03:58 PM

Its all in good fun... :)

SCWDP911 02-04-2009 06:10 PM

i'm ok... just wanted to make sure you guys did not beat up on our younger brothers... I am the father of 4 young boys and could see it was only a matter of time before someone got hurt. Just had to do a timeout. Didn't want to hear any of the Carrera guys whining about so and so SCWDP did this or that:cool:

Head416 02-04-2009 06:46 PM

Okay, I bleed SC, but I've been sitting on the sidelines of the SCWDP until now. (Mostly cuz I was too cheap to buy a badge at the time. I also have some unresolved decklid indecision.)

But I just took a look at the 32C thread.... it's on!

stormmaster 02-04-2009 07:02 PM

Ok.....I cant help it.....I just have to share.....

What does each group plan on doing?

Carrera: We hope people will recognize us as a real car
SC: We are going to dominate the world

Kinda the same, right? :D

hmmmmmmm. It's kind of like "do I want to play with the cool kids or not"? World Domination has to be cooler...;)

stormmaster 02-05-2009 04:55 AM

We all know about that other German that dreamed about world domination.....you see what that got him....one defeat after another....

True but SC owners are cool and we know how to grow a proper mustache.

stormmaster 02-05-2009 10:08 AM

yes you are cool....i will give you that...I have known a lot of cool SC guys over the years....my brother used to be one....but then he got smart...he always looked funny in a mustache though.

SCWDP911 02-06-2009 03:40 AM

OK SC guys and gals... we have about 90 cars in teh registry now. and 162 total members now... The 32C guys have amassed 100+ cars in a week... impressive indeed... we need more SC's...

JohnJL 02-08-2009 02:17 AM

I'm not surprised the 32 guys are flocking to register in Lemming fashion...its in their blood.

We SC guys are quietly minding our own business...quietly evolving...ready for our moment...

Oh yeah, I am also an owner of a lightweight early car (1971 as above) and I have to say they both rock, on different days and for different reasons.

For the track, the SC. I eat V8s in the twisties and with the supercharger I expect the straights will no longer offer the equalizer. I was hanging and passing Carreras before with the exception of Rick's sweet Carrera RS (highly modded!)

I've driven a few carreras, RS's, 964s, owned a few 993s and driven a 987 and a cayman. I respectfully submit that Ive already voted with my $ and thats SCWDP.

Eat it 32 ;-)

JohnJL 02-08-2009 02:20 AM

I'm sure the Jetta registry could also summon 100 in a week. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo.../hotbounce.gif

Holy motors Batman! Just saw the pic of your motor John. Wow!

I was tossing around slogan/motto/battle-cry ideas this morning... I came up with these two. If the german translation is not quite correct, please let me know...

#1 - Kugel-beweis (bullet proof)

#2 - eine Kurve auf einmal (one curve at a time)

One might say that the SC definitely has a bit more evolving to do than the Carrera... SmileWavy

stormmaster 02-08-2009 01:06 PM

a bit?.....An SC can evolve until pigs fly and at the end of the day....they are still just SCs

Number two is for 32C It basically says A curve; once. After that they break down.

The correct German must be somthing like "eine Kurve nacheinander." or Kurve nach Kurve nach Kurve. But check with a German guy, dutch is close but no sigar.

Michel

JohnJL 02-08-2009 01:42 PM

I still like "Wer bremst verliert."

Loser brakes first.

Huh?? Let's search and see how many threads there are of Carreras "breaking down" and CIS problems.

JohnJL 02-08-2009 02:11 PM

We're all still keeping our sense of humor aren't we?
