Whose conspiracy is this again?!

Are you sure those misprinted tshirts were an accident and not part of an elaborate plot to make the SCWDP thread more entertaining?

Where's my tinfoil hat???

:D

You know what they say: There is no such thing as bad publicity.
(and Shane and I didn't even have mugshots taken :D)

Sorry, but due to a recently hightened awareness of spelling issues, I am obligated to point out that you have misspelled "strangly"... :p

Yes, Shane, you are correct.
It should be "strangely".
Thank you for pointing that out to me in time, I was just about to have some t-shirts made with my post written on them...:D:D:D

I am sure you are aware that English is not my native tongue and that if we were to have a spelling contest in Dutch, I would probably win...;)

I am clicking on the "Spell Check" button in 3, 2, 1...

Oops, seems that you misspelled "hightened" as well... :D
It should be "heightened"
LOL, it even says your last name is misspelled, so I guess we cannot really blame you for the t-shirt typo either, you were kinda born with this condition:D

This is really never going to die, is it? it just gets funnier and funnier though.

I've never used spell check, I'm afraid to hit the post button anymore.

i just usually don't have time and don't care... the sad thing is the printer changed it on us and we both were so busy, we missed it on the proof.

Doh!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat5.gif

oh well, look at all the fun we all would have missed.;)

Spellcheckaphobia: the fear of using a spell checker while doing meaningless tasks such as any club having to do with the inferior SC. This malady is usually found in conjunction with Plotters Syndrome:a tragic condition where the afflicted person thinks that a Porsche SC (although a fine automobile in its day) is somehow superior to the later and much improved Carrera. Victims of this terrible disease are continually downgrading the superior Carrera and yet at the same time, doing upgrades that are already on the Carrera to the inferior SC in an attempt to make the lowly SC almost as good as the Carrera. Indications that someone you love has Plotters Syndrome include: replacement of chain tensioner, improving sway bars, increasing wheel sizes, and most tragically, insisting that the 915 transmission is better because it is weaker and harder to shift correctly.

Any status on the badges?

I registered on scwdp this week.

I want a badge ... badly.

SCWDP911 02-27-2009 04:51 PM

mca - badges artwork is done... had to make a couple of refinements for the new manufacturer, but it will make for a better badge I believe in the end. Hoping to post the artwork tonight or tomorrow so I do a poll to see how many are still interested in badges. I do not want to over-order these.

The shirts are getting redone. Basically, the orginal mis-spelled shirts will have an applique print stitched on in a fancy stitch. Should make for a pretty nice tshirt. Hoping to post pics soon, but might be another week on those. I hate it has taken so long to sort them out and really appreciate everyone's patience while we do.

Here is a sneak-peak at the fixed shirt design...

Badge art

Here is the badge art. If you are interested, please email me with the subject being "SCWDP BADGE ORDER 2009" please. I need to see how many of these I should order, without overdoing it. Price should be somewhere around $40-50 shipped.

I can't believe the SCWDP is still going so strong.

And to think Leland formed it so long ago.

Rob Channell 02-28-2009 08:25 AM

Man, I guess I'm just kinda left out and stuck in the middle.

I have an SC, but it contains a Carrera motor. In the next year it will probably end up with a 930 transmission and some 73 RS body work except for the 75 IROC style rear decklid. So exactly where do you class a Frankenstein car?

efhughes3 02-28-2009 08:32 AM

The Carrera motor is where its at, the heart of the car.

Go with your heart man... if that does not work, use your VIN to decide!:D (we'll take you)

Hey get back on the front page. :) (in other words................bump)

SCWDP911 03-05-2009 06:50 PM

Stupidus shirtus plotimus maximus bumpus... (been one of those weeks)

Hey all, we decided to just have new shirts printed. We will probably still do the applique idea at some point, but for now, the shirts will be as they were originally intended, only spelled correctly this time...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/shake.gif Shirts are supposed to be done Monday.

I also am still trying to gather numbers for badge interest. Need about 50 to make it worth the effort. Please email me if interested.

SCWDP911 03-11-2009 06:33 PM

new shirts are done and spelled correctly. phew!

check out the new pelican parts sticker that Wayne is making. He is using a SC or a 930 for the background. put that in your carrera pipe and smoke it!

Geronimo '74 03-16-2009 12:00 AM

It's on jack-stands so it must be an SC...:D

There were no Carrera's available to pose for the decals, they were all out driving...

SCWDP911 03-20-2009 05:49 PM

Can I hear a choir of angels please... finally got shirts that are spelled correctly. Will be updating website info soon on ordering.

Come on guys... where is everyone. Oh, wait! I was the one missing in action. Work is still crazy, but slowly getting to where I can do more than just my day job again. Looks like we have several new SC owners on the board. Please register at the SCWDP registry too. Also, still have plenty of new shirts (spelled correctly I might add :rolleyes). Only a couple of 2XL's left from current run but plenty from other sizes (hmmm, does this tell us something??? nah...)

All previously ordered shirts should have made it to US guys by now. Please let me know if you ordered one and did not receive yet. International guys should be getting them anytime. They are out there somewhere on their way to you. They can be ordered at the SCWDP website (see my sig below). And for moderators, Wayne told me to mention it was OK to talk about the SCWDP gear on here (Thanks Wayne)

Thanks Roger. And for you and everyone else involved so far, sorry it took so long.

Vereeken 05-25-2009 12:01 PM

Shane, can you check. I made a payment for sticker and t-shirt. I received the sticker (I guess that was send by your partner in crime) but never received the T-shirt. It is hard dominating the world in a dirty t-shirt.

The payment was by Paypal michel.vereeken@skynet.be.

Tell me if it was not enoug to cover the shipping charges.

Michel

;)

dfk911sc 05-27-2009 06:59 AM

Back to page one...sent e-mail for the badge ordering shirts and posting pics of the SC on the SCWDP site.

SCWDP911 05-29-2009 05:57 PM

Michel,

Did your shirt arrive yet?

Geronimo '74 05-30-2009 01:31 AM

Shane,

my shirt was late, just like Michel's, but it arrived today!
To my surprise, I received a shirt with "carrera" spelled correctly...
If I remember correctly, I ordered one of the legendary "Carerra" shirts...

Is this some strange way to try and get me to walk over to the dark side??

Is there any way to switch? If you are out of stock of the misprints, can you (mis)print some more??:D:D

Crap, you found out our super secret plan to bring you 32C guys over to the right side of things... Got to convert you guys somehow, right?

I must have misread your order, as the list that was sent to me was for the correctly spelled shirts. I will get a misspelled one headed your direction today. Foiled again!:p:D

Geronimo '74 05-30-2009 09:08 AM

Shane,

Thanks, you let me know where and how much to pay for it, ok?
(I've got paypal)

SCWDP911 05-30-2009 11:01 AM

tell you what, send me $5 for half the shipping and I will send you the shirt no charge other than the $5. You can keep the other shirt in case you come to your senses and buy an SC some day!

Send me an email for details (shane@scwdp.com)
