(SCWDP) SC owners - we need more Plotters

OK SC owners... it is time to come out of the woodwork once more. As you may have noticed recently, the Carrera owners are getting all worked up... apparently needing to try to reinforce their fragile sense of "we must be better then the SC's" syndrome. It can be likened to the classic parent-child relationship in which the child at some point starts thinking they are better than their parents. Of course, we all know that eventually the poor child figures out that they were wrong.

We can only hope this might be the eventual outcome for our poor heavy-laden Carrera brothers. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/shake.gif

Strength in numbers is what I think we need. If you are an SC owner, sign your car up at the SCWDP registry at www.scwdp.com. The site is being redesigned, but most of the pages work. Decals are still available and we finally have something going again on some shirts. Also, a new batch of badges is on the way soon.

I'd be interested in another shirt.

As far as the looming threat mounted by the Carrera (not Super Carrera, but just plain Carrera)...........wake me up when they're in the grid.

SCWDP911 01-31-2009 12:50 PM

man... those Carrera guys are gaining a lot of steam...

jtfreels 01-31-2009 05:33 PM

Hey Shane, did the site get completely restarted? I could have sworn I had registered. Any way I just resgistered.

How are you doing, did you get the car fixed, back home?
Too much time has passed since we have all gotten together.

What?

No worries, who would join a group that thinks “Citius, Fortius, Melior,” in Latin means “Faster, Stronger, Better”?

The literal translation is "citrus for your melon" and although I like it, I want nothing to do with it.

Hey Jay,

Yeah, you're right about the lag of getting together. I took on a lot of new responsibilities at work and it kind of slammed my schedule. Bob has also been slammed and between the two of us, we just started getting back to where we can start working on the Plot again. The site is being redesigned, but most of the old site is still up and going and you would not know we are doing anything to it.

My car is still out in SD. I just pulled the trigger on a set of struts that are fairly close and now I just need to see if I can break away from work long enough to drive up (wife and kids want to go out there again), make the repair, and then drive her home. **Anyone close to Rapid City want to help install a strut housing?

A few of us have been trying to plan a new MTFR gathering. I am going through withdrawals. Of course, until my car returns, I will just be meeting you all for breakfast or lunch. Need to do it soon though.

been working on a new logo for badges and other things... this is not the final product, but you can get a rough idea. I am still playing with it. Obviously I borrowed a few elements from the Early S guys... I hope they simply see this as flattery by way of emulation...SmileWavy

Here is a sneak peak...

I don't mean to turn this into a poll, but sometimes less is best. I reckon the current design is the standout!

Gee....I guess us late model Carrera owners should hang our head in shame ...I will give up some weight for better transmission, a little more HP, and better A/C just to mention a few of the changes....I guess maybe a decal and a shirt makes up for it though....I thought we were all in the same family.....
