How many 911's were made
Was wondering how many 911 's were manufactured in "86". My VIN states it was 0890 to be produced. Does that mean out of all 911's or just the ones for USA and Canada. Tried searching for this info but could not find, I'm sure someone here will know. Did VIN # searches and learned quite a bit but still couldn't find how many were produced. My VIN is WPOABO919GS120890

How many? All of them.
Just messin' with ya' Red Book says...Coupes Vin.120001-122619 So 2,619 U.S. Carrera Coupes that year.

Looks like the U.S. also got 1,976 Targas and 1, 986 Cabs. that year.

Seems interesting that only one cab was made to ship to the USA, not sure I can beleive those numbers. Still curious to know how many 86 911 carreras were manufactured during that year. I have ordered a red book are there any other sources that might give me the answer i seek?

All 3.2 L cars 1984-1989 35,571 coupe, 18,468 targa, 19,987 cab "Original Porsche 911" by Morgan has 1986 coupe 4031 targa 1758 cab 2358 coupe japan 233 targa japan 79 cab japan 80 coupe us 2916 targa us 1976 cab us 1986

Do I have to add all the lines together or just the first 3 to get a total manufactured in 86? Thought there would have been more made. Thats really not very many cars compared to the US auto makers and such.
