Installing 911 quarter panel windows

I have a 79 930 that Im trying to reinstall the side windows. I cant figure out how in the heck to get the anodized retaining trim back in. Does it go on before the window is installed or after the window is installed?

Just did mine. Window must be out of car. I got some help from a soft jawed
Irwin Quick- Grip squeeze clamp. Lows, Home Depot. Get the metal started
into the rubber and then use the clamp from both sides, just keep readjusting
the clamp to work your away around the frame. Works very well.

Spray some silicone on the seal channel and work the trim in and around by pressing with both thumbs @ same time, works preety well.
