New monballs with grease nipples
Hey all,
Well I'm not sure if I need them but I put grease fittings on the monoballs I made for my 911. My car sits pretty low and after final installation it looks like I could get rid of the line and just install the grease fitting on the elbow that's on the control arm with maybe the addition of just a small 30 deg elbow or something. How much wear you guys see on these monoballs? I did a search and it seemed like they wear quite a bit??? Are they generally steel on steel in the kits that are sold? If so how do you keep 'em lubed? Also ... WTF is the deal with the control arm mounting bolts??? I machined the head down as you can see in the pic but that still didn't give enough clearance to get them in ... I opened up the I.D. of the internal spacer on one side to facilitate bolt installation in a civilized manner LOL ... any comments on this one??? what a PITA!!! Cheers, Sean ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The kits I've used come with a teflon lined bearing..however they don't last very long. Unfortunately have had to replace them on one car once a season..
