Coil? Infamous green wire to distributor?

Just some guesses...

Have a helper put a meter on the power to the box, crank, see if power cuts while cranking. Some of the wires drop current when cranking, sounds like you are using one for power.

Just a WAG.

I got it

Finally got her running. Used Perma-tune box and coil, pertronix, and built a new harness. Unfortunately, I think the little 3.0 has had seen better and less oil soaked days in her life. So, I'm thinkin about gettin into the vintage porsche craze here, and makin the guy an offer on it, and do a little restoration to it. Please check out my shop at www.swfloridarodnkustom.com

On the starter selinoide there are two spade connection on it. If you hooked up to the wrong one it will kill the power to the distribuiter . Good luck.
