Heat shielding material between muffler and bumper?
Had a new muffler put on my '74 recently, and now the rear bumper gets hot. Is there any heat shielding material out there I could line the inside of the bumper with to stop it getting so hot? There has to be a material out there specifically made to shield car undercarriages, right?

on my 73 which has the RS fiberglass rear bumper, I have installed a piece of aluminum sheet to reflect back the heat and stop the bumper from getting really hot. It has worked well for years.

Does that stuff just glue on or is it self adhesive?

I use the same as above and it has adhesive backing.

Pegasus sells this stuff too. Works well, though I needed an aluminum shield in addition.
