M&K Track Muffler
Does Anybody have any experience with the M&K Track Mufflers. I'm curious about sound quality and noise level. I like how they look and fitmit looks it should be tight to. But before i purchase I was hoping for a little feedback from the community on these. Thanks.

Have a set (2-in 2 out)on my 3.0 track car, came with it when I bought it 9 months ago.
I Love the sound and it gets to 95-96 db. It has some drone around 1500-2000rpm but not bad and not obnoscouis(sp?)

Rick, I think he is referring to the track mufflers specifically, it sounds like you have a 2-in 2-out street muffler. The track mufflers are small "cans" that bolt directly to your headers or heat exchangers. I've heard them and they sound great, the build quality on Ben's stuff is second to none!

I had them on my 87. The sound was awesome. When I was in the NASCAR bowl at Pocono my kids could actually tell my car's exhaust note from every other car in my run group (they were back at the trailer). Kind of a ripping sound. I loved them and Ben's quality is the best.

Ben is the owner of M&K and the last guy to respond to your last post. He makes a lot of mufflers for 911's in many shapes and sizes.
See: http://www.mkexhaust.com Some call the mufflers you are interested in "shorties". They are not streetable unless you just do not give a hoot about others. What are your goals for your car? Street car, sporty street car, track only car-- or something in between. |
