Interior Kits?

Did Porsche make factor interior kits for are cars for sale? I have a 89 Silver Anniversary 911 with special interior color combo to it. I would love to find a set that porsche never sold to keep on hand so if something were to happen ive got it covered. Im also looking for the original floor mats. (Pictures anyone)

A hi-end auto upholstry shop can make just about any leather, cloth, felt, carpet piece that you want, and a perfect match. When the drivers seat left bolster finally shows wear, the seat can be disassembled and that piece sewn in.

I bet a complete OEM interior, boxed and ready to go, could cost as much as the car is currently worth, and that's if you could find one.

IF Porsche had NLA interiors in stock, my guess is they'd cost more than your car is worth. You need to seek out a recommended Porsche-knowledgeable interior shop near you and recover if needed.

I guess we're somewhat in agreement here!

. . . wish the interior of my car looked that good.

My thought is that even if you could find NOS interior (kit) for sale, you would never use it. If that is a picture of your car, it shows me that you are somewhat fastidious about cleanliness? Perhaps a bit of a perfectionist? Keep up the good work, but there is something to be said for patina!

Just my 2 cents.

There's no way you can buy a complete interior from Porsche, in any color, and especially not a special anniversary interior. Some individual pieces are still available in some colors, but not a whole interior. Just take good care of what you have. You can have pieces made, as needed, but they will be custom and you'll pay a lot for them.

If you're interested in originality (as you should with an 89 SA), I think you should put an original steering wheel back on.

My bolster (?) is worn through and I'm considering getting it repaired. I just worry about that patina living next to the new material,..next comes the whole seat sitting next to the passenger side patina seat,..and on and on

I'll only get the damaged part done first so I'd sure like to know (too) if there's a source for original pieces used. What is the "stuff?

Maybe I'll get some pics posted shortly.

Man,..your interior looks good.........is the dash in great shape?

Best,

Doyle

Thanks for all of your input. My interior is in great shape. I'm just looking into the future in-case something gets torn or worn out. I'm even thinking about changing everything to black and putting the original stuff away. Maybe i asked the wrong question. Maybe i should have asked if the seat covers are still available from anyone in original form. I want to collect as much info and original pieces to this car if possible. As for the steering wheel i do have it,i just don't like the looks of it. I'm also looking for the original floor matt's if anyone has any info or pictures of them. Thanks again. This form is great.
