1977 911 targa interior question

I am working with the fold down section of the rear seats on my targa. I'd like to replace the pressed paper board part that spans the draped carpet transistion between the vertical section of the hat rack and the folding seat. Does anyone have a source of press board or can suggest a replacement material? Thanks, --John

A pic would help, I am trying to picture what you are talking about, but in the meantime: Any cardboard bits I have replaced such as door panels etc I used 1/8 birch plywood.

You can also use the tempered, composite hardboard(just like the tempered peg-board, but without the holes) and you can use your old one as a pattern, to trace around, and get a really true shaped piece. That is if yours is good enough, to be able to use for this. If it isn't, you can make a pattern out of cardboard of brown craft paper. But, be sure to use the tempered material, because it is highly resistant to moisture and high humidity environment areas. Good luck!! Tony.

Cgarr and 3.2 CAB-- Thanks for the input. Just for the record people in Wisconsin have never heard of "tempered, composite hardbroad" but I found it anyway. Thanks for your help, --John
