The gloss level of any automotive paint can be adjusted with a additive called a flattening agent. The percentage of additive in the mix of paint, catalyst and reducer determines how "flat" the paint looks. The gloss level can be adjusted anywhere on a scale from full gloss to full flat. This can be added to any color, so if you can find a gray you like, any competent painter can get the gloss level where you want it. A word of caution though - the flatter the finish is, the more succeptable to scuffs it is.

Thanks for the short lesson, I'm not a painter, but will copy what you sent and take it to the guy doing the car.
I did get an email from RUF in Texas giving me the color and code. Seems paint is a Peugeot color, gris magnum metallic, code MOTA, then Ruf put a glasurit clear 923-55.
So, if I can find the info on the Peugeot paint then good to go.
Thanks for the reponses.

That would be another way to do it - paint it as normal, then use the flattener in the clear coat. That Glasurit number might already be a satin or matte finish. Good luck with it Rusty.
