I have 2 3 spoke steering wheels both need to be recovered. how many DIY'ers have done the recovering nicely or what cost is it to have redone Typically? Suggestions are appreciated. I would like just one real nice one don't need both. thanks for your time

Apparently it is pretty straight forward, from what I have read. I repaired mine by restitching it. Poked myself a few times with the needle, but it looked fine.

I know that when they do leather seats they use steam and warm water to stretch the leather.

shane is the man to talk to.

So, what do women's boots and steering wheels have in common?

Steering Wheel

Ben,
I wanted to have my steering wheel redone, not because the leather was bad, I wanted red deviated stitching to match the rest of my interior. The shop that did the interior on my car wanted $400 to redo the rim of the steering wheel! OUCH! They told me it was very labor intensive and would not do it any cheaper. I had another quote from a second upholstery shop who wanted $300-400 depending on how much glue needed to be removed from the rim?
Good luck,
Mark
