86 electric seat motors

I am putting 86 power seats into my 83.

Everything is going well (e.g. put in power for both seats and replaced a couple of bad switches)

The issue that I am having is the rear lifter gear (i.e. that raise and lower the rear portion) on the drivers side is stuck. When I press the switch, the flexible drive train attempts to do it part, but the seat does not raise or lower.

The front lifter gear is working fine.

For those of you who have a Bentley Manual for an 86 does it show how to remove the motors? if so, could you fax those pages to me?

I am open to suggestions, but it appears that I need to replace the rear lifter gear.

I have the Bentley Carrera book

it's only 1.5 pages of installing'removing seats and 1 page of motor and cable removal

1] detach cable from motor by prying spring clip from end of cable

2] remove two mounting screws [it's above clip] and detach motor from seat frame

3] angle motor out of seat frame

seems like the detaching spring clip is right at the end of cable directly under those two screws. It seems to wrap around the cable.

if you want a fax of 2 pages
1] hit my user name
2] hit e-mail with your phone number

there's really not much to it once you find and pull back that spring clip
