Is a 993 rear bumper the same size as a 996?
Hey guys. My 83 911sc has a 993 body kit installed. I backed into a fire hydrant and now I need a new bumper. I found a 996 rear bumper for $250. Do you think it will fit on my car or should I pay the ducks to get mine fixed. Thanks in advance!

No, it won't fit. Dimensions and shape are totally different.

ok, thanks Zamirz. I think you just saved me a 6 hour drive. I got an estimate to repair the rear bumper, paint, and also repair some rock chips on the front bumper and paint for around $850. I think I might go that route. I just figured a good non cracked bumper would be the best bet.

Cool. It's not cracked in a really crucial area that will catch the eye, so I'd probably just go ahead and have it fixed. Price seems in line with the amount of work.

It isnt really noticable but I am picky. I will have to have the muffler tip realigned again so it will center in the bumper outlet. Thats gonna take some serious welding skills cause my muffler has been modified apparently.
