Found 97 octane pump gas for 2.01 a gallon

So, my 68 911S is designed for 98 octane gas. Good luck finding it. I passed a gas station today with 97 octane for 2.01 dollars a gallon! Only one problem... I am currently in Malaysia! Why should they get high octane gas cheap and I have to suffer in NY for expensive low octane! end of rant.

No particular reason, other than Big Oil bending us over at will.

Their gas is sold by the liter, so that works out to 7.95 per gallon. Also, I think there octane rating is different than in the US.

Watertown, NY, not the end of the earth but you can see it from there. Spent some time at Drum and my MIL lives in Chaumont.

nope, that price is the converted price per gallon.
the selling price is a result of a government subsidy

I would rather pay the $3 gallon than have to live there to save a buck a gallon.

Wow! I stand corrected... It's been a while since I was over there.

2.01 is converted liters to gallons and ringgits to dollars. Actually not a bad place, I come here once or twice a year for work. A P-car would definitely turn some heads here!

Widgeon - I am in CApe Vincent, which is closer to the end of the world than Chaumont.
