Bells & Whistles, (where you need them)

As we know Carreras have an annoying buzzer when you have the car running, the door open and or if your seat belt is not fastened. I know when my door is open and I religiously wear my seatbelt. Where I would like an annoying buzzer is if I'd leave my lights on when I turn the car off, (I drive with the parking lights on during the day for safety). And of course there is not one.
So my question... Can you change one of the annoying buzzers, preferably the door annoying buzzer to a lights still on annoying buzzer? And if so has anyone documented the procedure? At the very least could someone point me in the right direction to disarm said annoying buzzers?
Thanks in advance.

There is a relay/buzzer unit on a block in the trunk on the driver side. (at least on my 88)
Remove carpeting on firewall driver side and hunt around with the buzzer going off and you'll find it. Pull it out. Burn it.

Luckily, my car came without that option. I did however kill the battery once by leaving the lights on.

I guess the ROW is smarter than us colonists. Wish it had been an option. I'm sure big brother made sure we were warned that our doors were open and we didn't have our seatbealts fastened.

i don't think it would be to difficult to engineer a buzzer or chime to sound off when leaving your lights on. or wire in a relay that shuts off the lights when the ignition is turned off.

My buzzer was behind the fuel guage. There is a row of 4 relays behind the fuel & oil temp guages, I seem to vaguely remember it being the 2nd from the left.
