964 Cruise control on a 3.2 Carrera

I am in the process of putting a 1995 993 3.6L into my 1987 Carrera. For reasons I do not want to get into the motor has 964 throttle body & linkage, 964 AFM and 964 ECU. Is there a reasonable way to hook up the Carrera cruise control to the new motor and throttle body? Would it be as simple as fabricating a new bracket to hookup the Carrera CC cable to the new throttle body?
