Longevity plasma cutter and welder..any owners here?
I just came upon a company, Longevity, that offers a 3 yr warranty on their equipment. They seem to be a small and new company, but their prices are hard to turn away from.
Anyone have their equipment? I have a Harbor Freight MIG welder that's probably in the same class, and it's performed flowlessly for several years. If a $400 plasma cutter can go that long, I'd be happy with it... ..so! Anyone own one of their products? |

On this topic, it looks to me like the prices of plasma cutters for us DIY types are coming down. Will these units continue to get less expensive?

My guess is that they will decrease a bit, but not by a whole lot.
Comsumables for these things (welders and plasma cutters) are what really cost a lot. My welder has paid for itself time and time again, but the gas is not cheap. The tips and electrode for the plasma cutter won't be cheap either. I may just bit the bullet and get the Longevity cutter. If they honor their three year warranty (more like if they stay in business that long), the thing will have paid for itself just like my welder has. I've got a lot of metal to cut in the next year ![]() |
