Window Washer Spray Head

Hello All,

I'm trying to remove and replace the window washer spray heads on my 69 912.
(I know this is the 911 forum but this would be typical to both and the active viewer ratio is 123 to 3 to the 912 forum)

That said, these spray heads appear from pictures to be a press fit with a rubber ridge which holds the head in place after is is pushed through the hold in the body.

I am reluctant to just jerk them out without confirming that there is not a flange or nut holding these in place. Any first had experience would be appreciated.

Thanks

dgsaz

Open the hood. Access the underside of the cowl, remove the hoses and push the spray heads out. Push the new ones in and attach the hoses.

Newer ones have clips.

If your spray heads are original, then be very careful and work slowly as the plastic is brittle and you may break the nozzle at the check valve. You may wish to use a long nose plier to gently squeeze the ridge from under the cowl and push up from underneath, again, working slowly. As mentioned, new heads have a tang on each side that compresses instead of the ridge and long nose pliers are a must unless you have excessively long and strong fingers.
