Ok, I think I have found another one. Black/Blue from picture 1 is from E66 to the heater control unit. It is part of the interior light circuit. I'm so close :D.
Pictures 3 and 4 appear to belong to the cruise control. The Bentley Manual page 970-59 shows some very similar wires. The Brown/Black Brown connector may belong to that too. My gauge wire is Blue/Red because it leaves an anti-theft device on page 970-56 after entering Blue from the alternator.
Only 2 wires left! Red/Black and White/Green from the main harness.
I have identified all of the wires from picture 1. They belong to the heater control unit and exit the tunnel close to the shift linkage. My problem now is that I am missing the defroster ones :(.
Red/black in my car does 2 things provides power to gauges and the rear window defogger and white/green (small wire) goes to the parking light indicator. Hope I helped not real familiar with later harnesses but one thing I learned years ago is Porsche used the same colors for most things through the years.

You have helped. I really appreciate it. Especially since it involved looking at gawd awful wiring diagrams.
They are definately not as user friendly as the earlier diagrams, glad to have helped.

Next wiring problem: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/459089-new-wiring-harness-ignition-wiring-help.html#post4504205.
(I also did a lot of metering today and confirmed our findings. The White/Black and Black go to the defroster. The Red/Black goes to the tail light bundle.) |
