Dead Short inside Fuel Injector kills whole car

Car stopped dead last Tuesday. I had it towed to TRE and they poured over it for several days. Indicators were no voltage to fuel pump, no injector pulse, no power at DME. DME relay good. Found that a bad #4 injector electrics was backfeeding to the injector harness. Replaced the fuel injector, and car works. I ate some costs on this, but graciously so did TRE, because they've never seen this problem and symptoms before. My first experience with TRE and I don't feel like I was screwed at all (even though my wallet is hurting a little). Thanks to everyone at TRE.

Garage
you are lucky it stopped dead ;-)

i chased an intermittent hesitation for 6 months, that ended up being the injector wiring harness!

Car was running fine, and it was like the ignition was turned off. Crank and no spark, nothing. TRE repaired it and said they'd never seen it before. Sent a screwy or no signal back to the DME.
