Anybody use these headers?
Any info on these and are you happy with them?
|
PatrickB uses OBX headers, but not these specific headers. I'd PM him if I were you - good guy.

I have these headers and they look like solid quality. They are nicely made for the most part- clean welds and nice bends. I haven't installed them yet, so I can't attest to fitment yet. I got them from Jeremy D so ask him his impression of them.
They're not true equal length headers, so keep that in mind if you feel equal length is a must (many say this is very important). I'm not too concerned because my engine is basically stock and i'm not trying to eek every last fraction of HP from it. I figure they MUST perform better than the stock siamesing heat exchanger + cat. convertor setup. Also make sure to get them with an O2 sensor port if you need one. Mine don't have one and I must weld one on to use my O2 and dyno tune the car. |
I was happy with them - feel like they are decent quality = ran them on the track several times - not sure I was missing anything from when I had my car dyno'd. Solid - and cheap - and you can use a wide variety of mufflers. What's not to like?

mmnnnn stainless bling! I have a set of the OBX short headers. Outer weld quality is good. Inner prep is not so good but totally usable. My car runs well with them though! Fit on the engine was good as well.

I use what appears to be the same headers from QSC but is mild steel on my 3.4. It makes great power.. But I think there is better out there, the collector is suspect imo.....
But for the dollars, not too bad. I still want to try something different and do some dyno comparos.... Cheers |
Wasn't somebody going to dyno a set of these? I'd really be curious... (am curious)

michael, I live in Palm Beach gardens, and have a intrest in the OBX headers, with Super Trapp exhaust. Any comments. Also do you know the Mediator, I met him at the last track event and trying to get in touch with him.
thanks Tom |
