Recommendations for PPI in Hilton Head area...
I'm looking at an '88 M5 near Hilton Head, and need someone familiar with the breed to take a look. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance. JP

Too bad Korman is up in Greensboro NC, six hours away. There's a BMW dealer nearby, the M5 is late enough (motronic) where you can plug it in for diagnostics but of course there's no such thing as OBD- anything back in those days-- so you will basically get a simple report.
Why not fly down yourself with a checklist? Cost of a plane ticket is about the same as you would pay for a solid PPI-- and there is nothing like the feel of doing it yourself. The LAST thing you want is to buy an M5 owned by a guy who was in distressed real estate investing before he went to law school- who used to race the thing in undeveloped subdivisions, get multiple speeding tickets and in general log triple-digit road trips all in the pursuit of libdinal frenzy-- taking dates from other graduate schools down to the Old Shillelagh . . . Make the trip, the weather's nice and I hear the food is good, especially the tacos.
