electrical G'ruu, grant me a wish
so doing some dash spruce today in front of figuring out a new wheel and release deal on my track car build. so here's what i am looking to the electrical gurus to riddle me. my pops the TV repairman will be looking into it on my behalf but the more great minds behind any endevor i author is bound to keep me proper....
so i wanna strip my colum of the windshield wiper lever, and turn signal high/low beam deals. i wanna keep both working to some extent, just thinned a bunch. my wishes are as follows-- wiper- would like to have toggle on dash to power them on/off. i could forgo the multiple speeds and live with it hardwired to the interval speed. this gives me the opp to run thru the speeds via the OEM speed control dial as needed. if its raining hard enough to require constant higher speed wipers 311 is in the paddock. signals & hi/lo beam-- i have invisioned a three way toggle that will settle in the middle, but moving up-down (or left to right for that matter!) to have manually powered turn signals. the hi/low beam would if my plan goes would remain on low beam constant maintaining the stock dash mounted pull on/off switch. if after reviewing the wiring schamatics the author of my problem solve here says a better option for a switch would be X-Y-Z, i am flexable.... i know you are thinking why in a dedicated track car? i am going to keep it street legal after passing smog in about 4 months to get another two years of registration. this is for insurance purposes as much as any as i dont want my classic car insurance company to start wondering why ive non-op'd it and start nosing around asking questions. i want the title to stay live and should i be pulled over on one of a very few skyline runs i am all go legal lighting wise. can anyone wrap their heads around this with the principals in reviewing the wiring briefly like to dtermine if this can be done? i know plenty, but wiring is my cryptonite... that & a girl with big ol mudflaps.. t

So you just want to use switches? Check out this website: http://www.ronfrancis.com/products.asp?dept=29. Just click on the switches link on the left and browse. That is the heater/wiper page. You can find all sorts of neat stuff on there
