Removing rear seat belts

Do the rear set belt bolts just bolt into threads in the "wall"? I had a b*#$h of a time getting the passenger rear belt un-bolted. Went with the notch\punch\hammer method and got it loose. Now it seems completely loose, but won't pull out. Almost like there's a nut on the back that is spining along with the bolt, but I'd be very surprised if this were the case.

Mine just threaded into the boss in the tub wall.

In the wheel wells, you can see the threads of the bolts sticking out a few threads. I would presume you can see the inner ones also, if you can get under the car well enough to see.

Maybe they are just gummed up from sealant/undercoating. Get under the car, locate the bolt threads and spray some solvent or pentrating oil to loosen them.
