Zuffenhaus rsr brake package
Just curious
I need to upgrade the brakes on my 911SC and I am very interested in this rsr brake package. I have already e-mailed to Zuffenhaus but never received any answer. My question: -Does anybody know how much the rsr brake package really costs? -How is the quality of the product? -any first experiencies? Thanks for your input Regards, Hakan

PM Jeff Alton or Boba. Both are Zuffenhaus principals and post here. Also, Pelican will be selling all of their stuff soon, so hang tight.

Hi Hakan, keith here, at Zuffenhaus.
Sorry you didn't receive a reply - we've had quite a few folks send email to our service shop (Eurowerks) as well as our obsolete email address (at mindspring.com) - it takes me some time to find those emails... I hope yours isn't lost in there somewhere! In any event, I can certainly answer those questions right here, for everyone's benefit: As of today, March 4th, 2009, we are re-negotiating with the manufacturing facility (whom we are extremely impressed with) to avoid delaying the launch of this product any further due to the shaky economy and the significant amount of up front capital something like this requires. The production timeline will now take 6 months - again, due to changes resulting from the economy, beyond our control (regardless of how much money we could throw at it) - as a result, we cannot treat this product like our 17" 3-piece Fuchs wheels (that we took pre-orders for) since 6 months seems too long to make clients wait for their product after payment is made. We are breaking down the manufacturing process into logical, budgetable steps - the strategy being the following: make the first step fiscally palatable for a small company like ours, then take pre-orders within a window that allows clients to get their product in a more reasonable timeframe - like 2-3 months or so. We are finalizing this concept and verifying that it is workable so that we can proceed. When we move forward on this, we will do so with an on-line sign-up through our website - (new webstore is on the verge of being launched). I figure this is the best way to move on this, as we all want to see this product released, and soon! Suggestions welcome of course, if you guys have any great ideas about this sort of thing!! Thanks!

Just noticed that I actually missed answering your questions, lol...!
We are aiming for $4554.00 for the Base Kit. (all 4 calipers and custom 2-piece rotos/hats up front) Hopefully the economy doesn't change that also! The quality will be comparable to the rest of our products (excellent)
