You have to start with the basics..are you getting fuel and/or spark?
Has this every backfired on you? Might want to check the airbox for the pop-off valve and if the box itself is intact and not cracked from backfiring.

You will need a good manual and some tools to maintain the car going forward. Best bet is to learn the car and what maintenence you can do...both preventative and repair work.

Welcome aboard, sorry your having problems. You need to use the "search this forum" button, this subject has been covered a lot!

In short you need to determine if you have spark and fuel, which one is giving you the problem.
Unfortunately this covers a lot of ground.

Check your fuses under the front hood. One is for the fuel pump if bad or loose then you'll get no fuel. I had this on mine at one time the fuse was barely in the holder.

Lots of threads, take a look at this one for example

Good luck.

Get to know your car........

AB,

As an SC owner like you, I highly recommend that you obtain a Bentley Service Manual for SC. This is probably the best manual next to the factory service manual to have. You'll get to know your car better with the help of this valuable piece of reading material.

Get familiarize with the common acronyms like:
WUR
AAR
CSV
TTS
FPR
TV
FD
FA
etc.
And terms like:
Control and system pressures
cold and hot (warm) pressures
Lean or rich mixture
vacuum leak
residual pressures

What you are experiencing now is a common problem with CIS. It is just like having a common cold and easy to fix. This particular problem has been discussed widely specially when the weather gets cold. Welcome to the forum.

Tony

just happened to me. wouldn't start. no spark took the distributor out pulled the trigger green wire out of the dist housing and the entire Bakelite plug was disintegrated and pieces were stuck on the two terminals pushing them up and grounding them on the magnet and hall sensor.
