Factory G50 short shifter
From my research, the Carrera CS came with a sport shift option. Does anyone know the details behind its design. Anyone make a factory correct version today?
Finally, those lucky to have a CS, is there a difference (given you driven a normal G50 3.2) Thanks |

My '89 has a factory short shift option. Feels great and I have never questioned the throw; seemed reasonable to me.

My 89 also has the factory short shift option but I haven't driven one without so don't know what they are like.

The factory M241 option for the G50 consisted of nothing but a shortened lever (about 0.75").

In my opinion, a longer reach (shortened lever) is the last thing you want in a 911.
Our shifter (RennShift G50) reduces the thow but looks just like stock once the boot is in place and has the same knob height as original. |

The COA for my '88 says it came with a "Shortened Gearshift Lever". Sounds like they all did?
