how do you remove 993 mirrors?
 

I searched first folks. I am stripping my totaled '74S racecar. One item that is stumping me is the removal of driver's side 993 aero (non electric) mirror. I can not figure out how to get it off. The allen set screw on the outside does not appear to facilitate anything. There are anchor plastic rods from the mirror inside the door but no visible bolts. HELP! Thanks lads.

There's an allen head screw on the top side of the base that is used to remove the mirrors. (there may be a black plastic plug in the screw head) Just loosen the allen screw and the mirror comes right off.
