Slate Grey Formula
Does anyone have the formula for slate grey? Something I can give to any paint shop without telling them it is grey and they mix it up to show me slate grey.

you can use either 6601 or 6801. Either number will work fine. Can I ask what you are painting?

Thanks for the reply but the paint code is not what I am looking for. I want to tell the shop what colors to put in the pot to come up with slate grey. I want to know the formula or recipe for slate grey. I am painting a backdated '85 Carrera.

Formulas will differ by paint brand. Slate Grey can be a couple of colors according to the 356's I've seen at the annual concours in Dana Point. One has a bit more blue and I don't think that's what the McQueen 911 looks like.
If you want an actual painted sample, contact Willhoit Restorations. His cars have won the DPC more than once. |

If you go to the Glasurit website they have the paint codes. I had a local shop mix it for me and purchased a 1/2 pint sample prior to painting. Good luck,
