Master Cylinder Brake Light Switch Narrow Pole
I am in the process of replacing my master cylinder on my '86. The new replacement sourced from our host came with the three poles (spades) while my car is equipped for two. After some searching, I ordered a two, two pole switches from my local dealer. I was fully expecting to receive two wide pole switches, but when the switches showed up they were the same as my car.
I just wanted to share this since I was under the impression that the two narrow pole switches were NLA and that I would need to do some minor modifications the make the wide pole work. Pictured is the new three pole switch from the master cylinder and the new sourced two pole, plus the old two pole switch from my old master cylinder. Second picture is the part number on the bag. ![]() ![]()

Interesting - thanks!
I could not find the appropriate 2 pole switches when I had the same issue, but I readily admit to not looking very hard ...
