Need very detailed pics of front a-arm mounts

The PO cobbled together my front a-arms and I'm trying to correct it all. I have installed the ER polybronze bushings with the low friction mounts recommended as well. The problem is that I have to space the front mounts on both sides down about 1/2" just to prevent binding. This is on top of the spacers that are built into the turbo front mounts. The old mounts had spacers only on one side that had the original turbo mount. The other side was an SC mount with no spacers. I have no idea what is correct now. Does anyone have VERY detailed pictures showing ALL of the hardware to mount the front a-arms on a turbo?

Thanks. I'm hoping to see a set bolted in so i can see exactly what hardware is used and where it is placed. I don't understand why both of my a-arms seem to need 1/2 spacing down on the front mount in order to stop the binding on the polybronze bushings.

This is as far as I can tighten the front mounts before they start binding. I'm at a loss.

Sorry, I did not get to our shop yesterday so I could not take any pictures. You have the rear busings and alignment washers installed correctly. Remember you have to leave the rear bushing bolts loose until you install the front assembly's.

Yeah, I did it exactly as the instructions say. I've checked it at least 4 times now just in case. Another guy told me there should be 3/4" spacers in the front but other pics I've seen don't have them. I'm confused.

You may have a tweaked pan or as I found, I had to grind the holes on the front mounts a bit bigger so I had some slack to adjust with. With the rubber bushings it can absorb some misalignment. The ER ones cannot.

You are missing the small alignment spacers on the front mounts. And as Dgmark says, it is critical that you have the rear bolts loose at this stage - or it will cause binding.

Looking at the first picture, It looks like the rear aluminum mount is tipped down at the front. I would remove the mount and make shure there is no corrosion at alignment boss on the body.

That's just an illusion because of the angle of the pic; the mount point on the body is clean.

I got some spacers and got it all together. I have a question though. Once the a-arms are mounted and I've verified there is no binding how do I put the sway bar in? If I install the sway bar with the a-arms as a unit (the much easier way) I can't check for binding. But if I leave the sway bar out so I can verify movement then I can't get the sway bar in.

Ok, for the record and for any that search this in the future. I spoke with Chuck Moreland at Elephant Racing today and he clarified the situation. What I considered "binding" is not binding to him. I thought the a-arms should be aligned so well that they should swing free on their own much like a pendulum with almost no resistance to movement. Chuck said if takes about 2 lbs of force to move them through their range they are good. If it takes 20 lbs of force then there is a real issue. Mine don't even take 2 lbs of force. It came down to what you consider "excessive force". Chuck cleared that up. Thanks for all the help guys, I can take out the extra spacers I thought I needed now.
