Ordered mine yesterday. Are you concerned about the 2005 production date? I only put 2,000 mi/ Year on my car. The current tires are Dunlops with a 1994 production date. They still had decent tread left.

I'm not too concerned with the 05 production date. I would imagine they are wrapped and stored in a cool place. They still carry the full mfg warranty, so you have that to stand behind. They are a big step up for me... my Toyo's on the rear were bald enough to fail inspection... and they had some small dry cracks showing. These things will feel like glue... should be delivered today for me.

1994 must have been a good year. Still have tread and they grip like glue. I've only owned the car 1 1/2 years, I don't abuse it that much. No track etc.

SWEET! Thanks for the heads up Troy. I just scored the exact same set that you did. Perfect timing too as my wheels are being refinished as I type this.

Mine were on the front porch yesterday... man, they look terrific! I love the tread pattern on them... looks like an F1 wet tire. You'll be happy with the looks. Performance remains to be tested. Hope to get mine mounted and balanced tomorrow.
Glad you guys were able to take advantage of this deal too. Cheers my brothers! -Troy

Regarding the 2005 date, I think that the discount makes up for it. I had budgeted $400-$450 for tires (mid-grade) and am getting my 4 top of the line Potenzas for $339 inc shipping.

Thanks for the feedback Joe. My previous tires were old Potenzas, so of course I am thrilled to be able to continue the streak and also know that the new ones come recommended.

Regarding the manufacturing date...
If I read the DOT code correctly the front set that arrived yesterday indicates 10th week of 2006. So perhaps they are not all 2005 (as posted on their web) Just curious, who mounts and balances (cost /each) your tires (p-shop, tire dealer, TireRack selected dealer ...?)

Pardon my ignorance, but where is the date code at? Here is a photo of what I just got today (fronts). Rears are coming from Delaware so a few days away still.
I use a local 'euro' car repair shop in Spokane, WA called 'Silver Star' to do all things related to my 911. They were recommended here on PP at one time. Not sure what they charge for mounting, etc. I will post pix of my refinished 16" Fuchs next month after I get them back.
