squish squish from steering wheel ?
Hello,
Last year, I had to remove my Momo steering wheel in order to access signal light switch for homemade repair. Using 101 projects, I was succesfull on the switch repair, but after completion of the project, I am left with this squish sound when I turn the steering wheel. I have jacked up the front wheel to have a better chance at locating the source of the noise, but to no avail. Noise seems to be coming from a plastic part attached to steering column. Do you have any ideas ? Thanks. |
I know exactly what this is (if your description is accurate).
You need to lube the horn contacts in the steering wheel hub. Use a di-electric grease. You can get that at Auto-Zone (usually in a little tub on the sales counter) for about a buck. |
