Plastic piece under front hood, how remove (74)?
Car is a 74. Here's a pic of the piece at the front of the front hood I want to remove.
It looks like it's held by plastic plugs thru the sheet metal but I don't want to just start prying on the plastic without knowing if that's how they are attached. Any help appreciated. ![]()

There are small nuts underneath that sheetmetal--I think four, something around 8mm--that are fastened to short studs that are part of the plastic piece. i.e. it unbolts. Don't pry. You need to put your head into the trunk and look "up" at the sheetmetal strip.

Thanks much. Just what I needed to know. I looked but didn't see them. I'll look some more.
