Need some help adjusting a cab top

I have my top installed and it is lined up so the guide peg go right in the holes, without the seal the top goes down and latches perfect when I install the seal it prevents me from latching what can I adjust to get it to latch and just how firm should it be to latch the top, by the way these are early hook style latches.

Nobody?

I recently replaced my windshield topseal...after the replacement I have to pull down on the top to compress the seal then latch. The same goes for unlatching. The "new" manufactured seals are just a tad different. Your adjustments sound good as the guid pins are lining up. the other adjustment is for tension of the back window panel. After I installed the new seal I took the car by a trusted interior shop and followed his advice: close the top and let it sit outside in the Texas sun for a couple days...it seemed to help.

I agree but I cant pull down hard enough to latch the roof I was wondering if I needed to trim the latch hooks to get the roof to latch firm but easier. what do you think?

I don't use the hand hold inside...after ripping one out early on, I just grab the top at the side corner and pull down with one hand and latch with the other. If you alter the latch and something goes amiss, the dang things are expensive (about 300 each). trimming the seal also has it's problems; I did the previous seal and had leak issues. unfortunately there is no adjustment for the vertical travel of the latches. sorry I can't offer up more.

Did you ever find a fix for this? My drivers side latch hook isnt catching either. I'm thinking about shaving just a little bit off the hook.

Yes I basically hold down and push to latch
