Power to manual windows, searched
 

Has anyone actually converted power windows to manual windows and not just talked about it? I want to do this and would like to hear from someone who can tell me exactly what is needed and any pointers. I am going to put RSA doors panels on and would like to make the change while I'm doing the job.

wrestling it currently......not that i wanted to, but the door, I bought, was PW and my 68 has MW. Will record progress......

Pretty straighforward. You need the the channels that correspond with your lifts. Glass will interchange. All the bolt holes and holes for the handles are there. Much easier than manual to electric.

My understanding is I have the parallel lifts and the associated channels. If I were to get the manual parallel lifts and channels from say a 1978-1985 I should be good, correct? I believe they changed the lifts in 1986.

I've read in the past that weight savings are minimal, if that's what you're after.

Weight issue is only a portion of it. Mostly it's because I want the simplicity of it.
