Rebuilt tranny (by myself) is stuck in reverse

one of the two detents in the wrong position when you assembled the trans. not the two that are under the nuts on the side of the diff housing, but one that goes between the shift shafts in the diff housing and/or the one in the center housing that needs to be all the way down against the spring before installing the housing over the gears. remove the reverse switch and push the pin in hard until you get neutral. temporary fix.
