rocker cover torque specs
I purchased a haynes or chiltons service manual but still can not f ind the s pecs on what the torque specs would be on the rocker covers and the valve covers. would someone please advise?

Valve covers: 8 Nm (6ft-lbs). Tighten a bit more if leaking occurs. Tighten all same amount to prevent warping of cover.
Don't really know what you mean by rocker covers. Hint: buy Waynes book on rebuilding and modifying 911 engines. It is a great source of info.

It depends on what kind of gaskets you're using, too. I also think this is one of those calibrated-wrist torquing jobs rather than pure reliance on the numbers.

Very little torque is needed, they can warp if overtightened. Just tighten evenly with a short ratchet handle until they no longer leak.
