Garage Construction in Northern NJ

Has anyone had any recent experience with either a pre-fab steel or modular garage installation in NJ? Bergen County to be specific. I'm looking for non traditional alternatives to expanding my one car concrete block garage. Thanks.

the common solution to cheap space here is pole barn construction. lots of space for not too much money.

you can even use regular vinyl siding on them if you like.

I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.

Non traditional? How about raise the roof, if the ceiling isn't high enough, and add a 4 post storage lift?

Probably less expensive than adding on.

Or I have ordered sheds from: http://www.mysheds.net/storage.asp
Very good service, and they have sheds with garage doors, sized up to a 2 car garage.

Thought about a storage lift, but I've heard more than one first hand account of those things collapsing...

Steve at Ultimate Garage would be good to speak with for ideas, although very high end. He's in Emerson.

I've had a 4-post storage lift for 14 years now, no problem. Eagle Equipment. That would be like not driving a car because others have had accidents.

I'm believe accidents happen because people lower it without making sure all 4 safety latches are released, or don't maintain/adjust releases. If 1 stays latched, it will hang-up.

I've spoken to a few guys that had the cables snap; not sure what this was due to, whether a material flaw or an operational error or malfunction. In any event, it is an option for a tall two-car garage, but my first choice would be three stalls abreast.
