Conv. top cover for Boxster?
Gents, dont get fired up that I am posting this here but the Boxster forum is somewhat to be desired! Can any one advised of a convertable top cover for my wifes Boxster that can cover only the top, if it is open or closed to keep out the weather? Does our host have one, I looked over and over again, has anypne have any ideas? Thanks Lenny

It's unclear what you're asking about. A tonneau cover to cover the cockpit when the top is down? A mini-car cover to cover the top when it's up?? A boot cover to cover the top when it's down???
Oh, and why apologize for the Boxster in your sig as "wife's ride"? I'm proud to drive ours.

Steve, I guess what I am looking for is a cover that only cover the area of where the top would be, if it is up or down. Not a tonneau, I have seen some that cover this area but they state only when the top is down. Thanks!

You're still confusing the hell out of me. The top is in one place when it's up and another entirely different place when it's down. I can't imagine anything that would serve both purposes.

I guess what I am looking for is a cover to protect the top and the back plastic window even when the top is up without covering the rest of the vehicle, sort of like a shade for the top and interior.

You will not get a cover that fits the top when up and then works like a toneau when the top is down. Especially one that would be weather tight in both circumstances.
I can understand the desire to cover the top only, or cover the interior when the top is down. But that is why they made the top go up and down so easily. Back in the days of Austin Healeys and such, it wasn't so easy to raise the top and put it back down. |

They have a product called "pop top" that is what you may be looking for. BTW, I have used their "cockpit cover" since the car was new. It's only for the top down but it's great.
