Adaptor - Tire air compressor

The original tire compressor that came with the 930 isn't working very well any more. I have another portable air compressor but the plug-in sits loose in the cig lighter. Is there a part or piece that would help so contact is made & it will work?

Or....do I just need to buy a new one? Thanks, Sarah~

Sarah, for some reason the Porsche (and maybe other European cars) have a cig light hole slightly larger than other cars. I think Radio Shack has the little plastic sleeve that will fit over the plug on the compressor.

Hi Kurt - Thank you very much. That is what I was hoping. I'll go in there and see if they have one. We're doing a road trip to Yellowstone this June so I'm starting a list of things we'll need to take with. Have a good day. Ssd

your local cell phone store may have one as well...

try plugging in a GPS or radar detector and watch it go nuts as the plug moves around as you drive down the road! I actually got a sleeve years ago with an old radar detector I bought. They work well.

Thanks for the additional location to check. I hope the original compressor isn't a total loss..just not sure exactly why it isn't working well anymore (hopefully it can be fixed).

i never knew the opening was larger...makes sense why i just bent out the side tab on my radar for better retension. i'm sure a little electrical tape would work in a pinch too.

Ok...so far i've checked: Radio Shack, Batteries Plus & Verizon. No go. They understood what I wanted but didn't have it.

Next i'll try Pepboys & an autoparts place by my house. if I still can't find one, I might have to hit someone up who has an extra I can buy from them. thx~
