OEM ducktail
Is the OEM ducktail on the US model 1974 and 1975 Carrera metal? Are OEM replacements hard to find?

The OEM ducktail is a fiberglass tail bonded to a metal decklid. Yes they are hard to find, and very expensive when you do find them. There is a guy on pelican that makes metal - fiberglass replica's, who's name I can't think of off the top of my head. He is out of Florida, In years past he has been at the Hershey swap meet that is coming up in a little over two weeks. There is also another local member who is working on making a fiberglass top you can bond yourself, but I have not heard how that is progressing.
