engine to oil tank line. Under or over tranny?

Hi,

I have just reinstalled my engine in my '71 T and am installing the oil lines.

The return line hose from the engine to oil tank runs better if I let it pass over the tranny. Does it matter whether this hose goes over or under the tranny? Is there a difference in pressure, since when the hose goes over the tranny, it needs to pump the oil up.

Thanks for your help guys!! Pics will follow shortly!!

Mine runs over the transmission, and there is a clamp near the vertical breather hose that helps hold it firm. (1970 S)

Sounds like you have it right
