interior fabric source
Does any one here know if this fabric is available from anyone? I have seen something similar on some 944 series, but I have never seen it on a 911 before. Well, other than mine, that is. Its a tone on tone dark blue that is almost canvas like but much softer.
I undoubtedly will require some down the road as the seat fabric wears. Currently the cushions that you sit on are showing some wear, while the backs and all other areas seem to be in pristine condition. I would prefer to search for this now when it is only difficult to find rather than in another five years when its impossible. If this pic isn't clear enough, I can take some more shots to show more.

It's called "Porsche Cloth" and I'm pretty sure that Porsche will sell the seat covers. I'm not sure but this Part Number may help start you in the right direction (928.521.071.50 - TR4). According to PET this is for the seat back of a -88 Carrera with your kind of seat upolstery option (Center Cloth). I don't know if it is Porsche Cloth but it is Blue on Blue.

That part number has a price of $642.50 for each seat back, right here on Pelican. Whether it's really available is another question. I would guess no.
