SC Guage Swap
So my trip meter and clock stopped working in my 82 SC. I purchased a complete set of SC gauges to fix my issues. Somewhere I read that the later SC odometers had a reset switch on the speedo for the Oxygen sensor. In looking at the new speedometer I bought it must be an earlier SC model that didn't have the O2 sensor reset switch. Just wondering how the wiring works and what I need to do when I install this Gauge. Are the O2 wires something that needs to be shorted together or kept apart. I have no problem relacing the O2 sensor on regular intervals but don't want a dash light on all the time.

the reset button is not on the gauge, its a relay looking thing behind the temp gauge with a button to push.

+1 - relay is a silver box with two cylinders on top of it behind the speedo in the dash area. One cylinder has a white plunger which is the reset button. You'll spot it. Just hook up new guage like the old one.
